Visit Pahang Year 2017 & 2018 – Popular Holiday Destination
Resort World Genting is located in Pahang and for sure to have the celebration to mark Visit Pahang, presenting the best of the state’s hearty fare. Chef Tan Hang, the Executive Chef of Genting Grand and his team aspired to stay true to the essence of traditional Pahang.
In order to present diners the authentic Taste of Darul Makmur, Hogoh Pahang! experience, Chef Rosidi who originated from Pahang has recommended some dishes that must try.
Traditional Malay fish cracker snack that every Malaysian love it. Same goes for Sata, traditional dish from Terengganu. It is a type of Malaysia fish cake, or otak-otak. Sata is a spiced fish wrapped in banana leaves and cooked on a grill.
Kerabu basically means salad in Malay. It is very appetizing well liked by many diners.
Indulging Pahang’s food must be completed with sambal hitam for a satisfying meal. It also goes perfectly with just a plate of white rice. Take the spicy at your own risk.
At the carving station, diners can enjoy Ayam Golek Bermadu or Kambing Bakar. Best dip with Air Asam (spicy & sour sauce made with asam jawa).
Main hot dishes on the spread including Opor Daging, Udang Sambal Petai, Hati Ayam Kacang Panjang, Gulai Tempoyak Ikan Patin and Ayam Masak Merah.
There are two options of soup. Tulang Ruruk and SUp Kambing Berempah.
For laksa craving diners, this Pahang Laksa will surely satisfy you. Love the fragrance taste of the coconut milk blended into curry.
Dessert
Wrap up your meal on a sweet note with dessert was once only served to the Royal family. Puding Diraja or Royal Pudding offers the contrasting flavors from bananas, cherries, prunes and cashew nuts. Topped with also the Jala Mas, a golden thread made from duck egg yolks and sugar.
Other than Puding Diraja, Kueh Lompat Tikam, Sira Labu and Pengat Nangka is also inside the dessert selection.
