UPPERDECK KL | Hidden Germs Serves Fusion Twist with Local Flavor

If you are a foodie explorer like me then UpperDeck KL is highly recommended! We truly love how they cooked the food with the local flavor twist and here we share with you.

UpperDeck KL – No Pork • No Lard • Serve Alcoholic Drinks

upperdeck

A hidden gem that serves a contemporary fusion twist food with Malaysian flavor in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur.

They source the ingredients locally and every bite brings up hints of the local flavor – lemongrass, pandan, budu, rempah and so much more.

[Baby Octopus]

Tempura fried baby octopus with squid ink REMPAH and ACAR salad. One of our favorite dishes and it was so addictive! The rempah recipe is derived from the owner’s family recipe, with a contemporary twist of adding squid ink.

[Capellini]

Raw sashimi grade prawns with BUAH KULIM oil with thin pasta. Taste so refreshing and the tanginess of the citrus dressing

[Tandoori Sea Bass]

With creamy mash and WATERMELON yogurt greens. The Sea Bass is well-marinated and perfectly pan-fried. Each bite can taste the freshness of the fish.

[Sticky Lamb Ribs]

New Zealand lamb rib with EGGPLANT puree and POTATO paye. It is my very first time enjoying lamb rib with smoked eggplant puree. I personally love it so much and my little advice for you: Eat it while it’s hot!

[Panna Cotta]

UpperDeck KL Panna Cotta
Panna Cotta

Coconut flavored with LEMONGRASS shaved ice, berries, and PANDAN oil. One of the best Italian desserts in town I could say.

Upperdeck KL serves No Pork, No Lard, and No Alcohol in cooking and uses only ingredients from Halal-certified suppliers. However, they do serve non-alcoholic & alcoholic beverages.
