SeniKome Peng Heng literally means ‘Our Art’. The word ‘Kome’ was inspired from the original dialect used by the locals in Pahang and some other states in Malaysia. ‘Peng Heng’ on the other hand is a name recorded in historical documents of the Ming Dynasty during the 1520s, which refers to the east coast of the Tanah Melayu/Malay Peninsula.
Raja Shahriman Raja Aziddin, graduated with a degree in Fine Arts specializing in Art Sculpture, UiTM was actually the one who created these metal statues features Silat stances. It was an ancient Malay martial art practiced widely in the olden days by Malay warriors.
Joget Gamelan, a traditional Malay music performance which still in practice today.
