The Road to Agro Tourism is a special program organized by Malaysia Tourism Malaysia (MTC). This program is to promote the interest of domestic Agro Tourism with the support from Ministry Tourism & Cultural (MOTAC) and Ministry of Agricultural & Agro-Based Industry Malaysia (MOA).
Road To Agro Tourism – 6 zones
There are 6 zones in total under this special program. Each zone is having its own specialty of agricultural and cultural.
- South Zone (Johor)
- Central Zone (Perak & Pahang)
- North Zone (Penang & Kedah)
- East Coast (Terengganu
- Sabah
- Sarawak
South Zone was successfully done in the last September 2017 whereby the last destination was at Desaru, Kota Tinggi Johor
Road to Agro Tourism vol. 2 – Central Zone
The Road to Agro Tourism vol 2, another successful program which was held on 12 – 14 December 2017 in collaboration with MARDI.
The launching of Road to Agro Tourism vol. 2 and flagged off were held at the Head Office MARDI Serdang
The purpose of Agro Tourism is to promote our domestic tourism not only to our local tourist but also to all international tourist, said En. Uzaidi, the President of MTC
During the welcoming speech, En. Uzaidi also mentioned that our country has many kinds of fruits such as durian, mangosteen, rambutan and other local fruits which should be introduced to attract more international tourist to Malaysia.
