Signing Ceremony cum Plant-Based Dumpling Tasting
Present at the signing ceremony were Lyn and her co-founder Shawn from Dumpling Kings together with Datin Maziah Binti Omar, the General Manager of Phuture Daging.
According to Lynn, the demand on plant-based food in Malaysia is increasing especially since the covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic itself has impacted the food logistic network, health raising issue and also the concerns of food safety. In year 2020, we can see that the demand on vegan is very high now!
The collaboration with Phuture Daging with the new tagline Dumplings for all – is to fulfill the demand from the market on plant-based dumplings.
Due to the high demand on vegan meat in Malaysia, Shawn remarked that with the collaboration with Phuture Daging, Dumpling Kings can work with aspiring entrepreneurs to grow the local plant-based sector
Also present at the ceremony, Datin Maziah Binti Omar who is the General Manager of Phuture Daging noted that this partnership marks Phuture Daging introduction of it’s Halal Plant-Based solutions to the Malaysian market
During the food tasting session, we got to taste four dumpling flavors which is spicy mala, kimchi, chives and mushroom cabbage in both pan-fried and boiled options.
