In conjunction with Merdeka Day 2017 and Malaysia Day 2017, Malgudi will be serving their extraordinary creation dish named Nasi Lemak Briyani.
Nasi Lemak Briyani will be selling from 31/8/2017 – 16/9/2017 at only RM19.50.

Malgudi Classic Indian Cuisine


Malgudi located along Lorong Universiti C Section 16, a well-known Indian Restaurant serving both Southern Northern Indian Cuisine. Lately, they just launch their new Merdeka Menu to be served only from Merdeka Day 31 Aug 17 until Malaysia Day 16 Sept 2017.

This Merdeka meal was a great creation by the owner of Malgudi who loves to eat Nasi Lemak and Nasi Briyani but she is kind of worry of gaining double calories. Until she came to the point that can she have both at once without worrying the calories. So, she invented this mouth watering Nasi Lemak Briyani.

Seval Combo | RM16

Tantalize the taste buds with Malgudi delicious crispy with vegetarian deep fried chips (onion, bitter gourd & cauliflower).


Nasi Lemak Briyani | RM19.50

Smokey aromatic rice with the combination of briyani rice cooked in coconut milk. served together with the essentials cucumber, fried anchovies, peanuts, egg & their version of Sambal. Not to miss out also their scrumptious Malgudi fried chicken.


Kulfi | RM7.50

A popular from India Creation, frozen dairy dessert from the Indian subcontinent flavored with saffron, nuts & cow’s milk. Tasted so milk and it was not as sweet as tasted in their country. Just perfectly nice for the palate.


 Fresh Lime Juice | RM5

Freshly squeezed lime juice, sugar, and ice that could quench thirst.

Malgudi, a fictional town which was immortalized by Mr. R.K. Narayanan, an Indian author.  Many captured as a real town in the south of India by the imagination of the readers. In order to fortify these memories in the minds of the readers, his brother R.K. Laxman created the caricature.
