Glenlivet Single Malt Whisky

It all started in 1824. Legally established by George Smith,  the first licensed distillery in the parish of The Glenlivet. Tenacious in the face of adversity, he bravely set the tone for future whisky makers. Today The Glenlivet distillery name is known worldwide for setting the standard in taste and quality.

The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve

Named in honor of the distillery’s founder, George Smith.  It’s classic Glenlivet, with a creamy and fruity character bolstered by the use of first-fill American oak to mature some of the whisky. Well balanced and exceptionally smooth. Gold in color with delicate aromas of citrus fruits, notably sweet orange.

Food pairing was Organic Quinoa Fresh Salmon Trout Salad with Sesame Dressing. A cold appetizer that blends nicely with Founder’s Reserve. sweetness and freshness of the Fresh Salmon Trout boosted up while pairing with whisky.

A warm appetizer was the pairing for this 12yo Single Malt Whisky, Smoked Duck Breast with Fruit Compote. Since the 12yo whisky has a well-balanced fruity taste with strong pineapple notes, it makes the dish even tastier.
